DEMASKING AMERICA

A Balancing Act between our Health and the Economy I recently listened to a favorite radio talk show Viewpoint This Sunday on the America Out Loud platform. The topic of discussion was about wearing facemasks. The consensus appeared to be that it was unwarranted, unhealthy, and unnecessary. The dialogue between the Radio Host, Malcolm, and his guest speakers, focused particularly on their individual rights. They also shared a frustration at the glances and visual scorns they received when not wearing a facemask in public areas. The next day I read an article about a birthday party in Pasadena, California. [...]

MAINTAINING OUR HUMANITY

By |2020-04-16T12:44:19-04:00April 9th, 2020|Categories: General, Personal Musings, Politics|

To many of you it’s obvious that I haven’t written a blog for some time, and while and I could offer many excuses, they would pale into insignificance during the current state-of-affairs. But something has been churning in my mind and it’s time to spill the words onto cyber-paper. Joe, my husband and I, while self-sequestered in our home, have reflected upon how incredibly fortunate we are, not only to be able to work out of our home, that our love is strong enough to spend 24/7 together without issue…no pots and pans flying…actually, there’s been a lot of [...]

LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF PLEASURE

By |2017-08-12T02:59:39-04:00August 6th, 2017|Categories: General|Tags: |

Yesterday was the finale of SEASON ONE of Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Pleasure, airing its 100th show. This blockbuster talk-radio show on the America Out Loud platform was the inspiration of its fearless founder, Malcolm Out Loud. Earlier this year, Malcolm assembled ten extraordinary and accomplished women from around the globe to change the conversation. On April 8th, it began. As the tagline goes, “It’s a gender thing…or is it? World Peace, Religion, Sex, Money, Politics, Climate Change, Big Business, Big Ideas and Big Egos! Nothing is off limits.” As one of the co-hosts, I was honored [...]

CLIMATIZED GOES TO NASA

Climatized, the first novel in the new “Max Ford Thriller” series involves the deaths of a prominent senator and three world-renowned scientists who were killed because of information they possessed regarding the push for climate change policy. Through many twist and turns a powerful organization was deemed responsible for the killings and their motives were revealed. The president was provided with cogent evidence that forced him to make a crucial decision—to expose a diabolical plot—or bring down a multi-trillion-dollar worldwide industry. Either way the world had been “climatized.” As I weaved my storyline between fiction and fact, I decided [...]

SHAMELESS PROMO

Yesterday was a momentous day! After a year of 24/7, Climatized, the first novel in a Max Ford Thriller series, was released. But it was also the culmination of eight years of writing and producing five novels. Fortunately, my husband is also my editor, so it was a journey we shared together. Now, as it was with the release of the prior novels, the champagne remains chilled with its cork waiting to be popped. It always seems that up to the moment the book is published, our list is fraught with tasks ranging from final touches to major commitments. Then, when the day finally arrives the list [...]

YOU SAY TO-MAY-TO; I SAY TO-MAH-TO.

However you pronounce the name of the fruit, it’s still the same fruit. But when White House Administration not-so subliminally exchanges one letter for another, it significantly changes the meaning.  For more than a year I’ve listened carefully to the questions and answers bantered about between the administration and the press corp. When the question of terrorism arises the media, without exception, refers to ISIS, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. On the other side of the podium, whether it’s the press secretary, Josh Earnest, or anyone else, they always respond by referring to ISIL. Everyone in the administration must [...]
